My wierd boyfriend

Most of you who read this blog know my boyfriend and have met him. He's a pretty cool guy, lots of fun, etc, etc, etc. However, he has this one wierd quirk where he does not like to take "normal" pictures. Here is an example of one such picture:

In the picture I am hitting him and trying to get him to smile normal. Anyway, to no avail I yet to have a really "good" picture of Mike and me. I have tried hitting, coaxing, and every other trick in the book but still he takes pictures like these. Advice?
